About Ramona Hulkonen, PA-C

Ramona Hulkonen is a Board Certified Physician Assistant who is dedicated to providing compassionate and quality dermatology care to patients of all ages. Originally from the Poconos in Northeast Pennsylvania, she graduated from Marywood University in Scranton, PA with a Bachelor’s of Science and later a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2016. She started her career in emergency and internal medicine but was ultimately drawn to dermatology because of the way it combines hands-on procedures with disorders of the hair, skin, and nails. An active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the SDPA, Ramona received her dermatology training working alongside Dr. Lewis and the fellowship program with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA). Ramona is excited to have joined THE NEW DERMATOLOGY GROUP and for the opportunity to serve the medically underserved patients of the Upper Peninsula.

In addition to practicing medicine, Ramona enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and finding great new restaurants.
